The Fever
"LA punk rockers THE FEVER offer up some ballsy Neo-Wave tunes reminiscent of some of the best bands from NYC and San Francisco circa late 1970's. Coco's vocals echo another beauty, Debby Harry, but with a tinge of bored junkie adding an edgier sound. Listen to Romeo Void's classic "Never Say Never" and you could imagine The Fever sharing the stage with them. Lead guitarist/bass player Teut licks have a raw punkish sound but his proficiency elevates him closer to new-wave. In both "Cheap Tattoo" and "Chicka Boom" he grinds out distorted power chords backed by his fat bass beats while Coco snarls lyrics at you. Besides sounding great they also look great so I'd be really surprised if these guys aren't a big hit. Rock on guys!" -DickTator
